Prompt: Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

I would say that my mind is like a lens. My mind allows me to focus in on the things that are most important to me, without worrying about other things. I focus more on following the Lord than anything else. In this way my mind is just like a lens, I don't focus on things that are only going to hurt me.

Summary: Today in class, we completed three common lits. It took a bit but wasn't too difficult.

Reflection: I learned how to better analyze theme. Along with that, I also learned how to better apply my own life connections towards other stories and texts.
