 A real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship that I've experienced is when a friend of mine got a toy that I wanted, but didn't get. I was 6 years old at the time, I had wanted this dinosaur toy for weeks. That day I went to my friends birthday party and he ended up getting the same toy that I wanted for his birthday. I was jealous and sad, however, the next day my mom and I went to the store. I was hoping to get the toy but my mom wouldn't let me, I ended up throwing a fit and I got some other toys taken away by my mom.

Summary: Today in class we read the story, "The Jealous Father." After reading the story we got into groups and made a PowerPoint that analyzed certain information, themes, and morals from the story.

Reflection: I learned more about how jealousy really does negatively affect relationships. I also learned how dangerous and blinding jealousy can be.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood.
