Describe a time you felt completely lost.

 A time that I felt completely lost was this weekend, on Saturday. This past Saturday I went fishing at my local lake. I had high hopes as I tied on a black and blue swim jig. An hour went by and I still hadn't caught anything so I decided to change to a spinner bait. Still, I caught nothing. I went home lost an confused about what I could've done different, wondering why the fish weren't biting.

Summary: Today in class we all presented our presentations about "The Jealous Father." It was a fun yet simple day in class.

Reflection: I learned even more about the moral of the story from the presentations that I saw. Everyone did great and had some good information.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
