It’s Homecoming Week! 🎉 What do you love most about being part of the Lakeside community? How do you show off your school spirit? What is your favorite Homecoming tradition or event?

 I love how unique the Lakeside community is. Everyone has a very different story and origins. My favorite homecoming tradition is the football game. Homecoming football games are always really fun and exciting. To show off my school spirit I will often go along with the theme for that day during homecoming week.

Summary: Today in class we took a quiz on "Constantly Risking Absurdity" by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. The quiz was fairly easy.

Reflection: I learned how to better take quizzes. I also learned how to better relay info that I learned to them.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
