As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

 My favorite word right now is nature. I have used the word nature much more recently as I've spent more time camping and fishing. I use the word at least 2 times a day and the meaning has become much more than just a word to me. I love nature and all that it has to offer.

Reflection: Today I learned how to better annotate poems and better my understanding of poems.

Summary: Today we worked on our "Birches Climbing Back to Childhood" projects.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
