Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

 A time that I paused to appreciate the beauty of nature is when I was camping in the mountains. I noticed all the thought and detail that was put into nature. Experiences like these always help me appreciate the Lord's creation. This specific experience had a huge impact on me as I realized just how much more life is beyond human beings alone.

Reflection: I learned how to better analyze a poem on my own. I also learned how to creatively relay my knowledge to a one pager.

Summary: Today we read two different poems. We then made a one pager on one of them.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
