People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

 I have heard many crazy stories. The most shocking being those of cereal killers. I never understand why anyone causes such tragedy for so many people and it raises the question, what do they gain from that? The story of Jeffery Dhamer really stands out to me. It is shocking and disgusting that he would ever kill so many people and do the things that he did to them.

Summary: Today we finished reading a rose for Emily.

Reflection: I learned how to better analyze a text.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints.
