I have heard the word metamorphosis many times as a young child and even today. When I was younger, I heard the word metamorphosis a lot in the context of butterflies. As I grew older I gauged a better understanding of what the word truly means. I learned a lot about metamorphosis in biology class and throughout many times in my recent life.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
