 I used to believe in Santa when I was a little kid. It was a story that my parents had told me when I was very young and it always stuck with me. Every Christmas I would get milk and cookies ready just waiting for Santa's arrival. Sometimes I would even get carrots for the reindeer. Prompt: Write about the best gift you have received.

  The best gift I have ever received is the gift of salvation. I am thankful every day for the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. He has changed my life for the better ever since I received him. This gift stands tallest among any other gift I have ever received. I am very thankful and wouldn't give this gift of salvation up for anything. Summary: Today I was not here, I went to the courthouse to get my passport. Reflection: I learned how to better look back in my life and write a journal prompt based off past experiences.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
