Prompt: Write about something you’ve outgrown but still miss.

 Something that I've outgrown but still miss is believing in Santa Claus. Every Christmas Eve I was so excited for Santa to come I could hardly sleep. Santa adds so much spirit to the holiday season and I really miss the excitement I felt as a young kid knowing that Santa was coming to visit my house.

Summary: Today we took the Vocab quiz.

Reflection: I bettered my test taking skills and vocabulary.

  The best gift I have ever received is the gift of salvation. I am thankful every day for the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. He has changed my life for the better ever since I received him. This gift stands tallest among any other gift I have ever received. I am very thankful and wouldn't give this gift of salvation up for anything. Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze quotations from a text.
