 A moment when my understanding of my family changed as I got older is when I learned that santa isn't real. This made me realize that my parents hadn't always told me the truth about everything. This connects to Chris's experience with his parents because he also questioned their loyalty and honesty.

Reflection: I think I did alright.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

When I was young, my parents forbade me from riding my bike out of the neighborhood. They did this because they were fearful of the busy roads outside of our neighborhood. They also worried about the danger of me being a little kid riding around. Although they had set this rule, I rarely followed it. Summary: Today we worked on our PowerPoints.
