Prompt: After reading Chapter 1 of Into the Wild, consider your first impression of Christopher McCandless. Based solely on the events and details presented in this opening chapter, do you believe McCandless truly understood the risks he was taking when he entered the Alaskan wilderness? Why or why not?

After reading the first chapter of Into the Wild, I think that Christopher McCandless does not value his life. I believe he is aware of the risk he is taking, he just does not care. He was constantly told by the drive that he was making a mistake. The driver warned him again and again but he did not care.

Summary: Today we read chapter 1 of Into the Wild.

Reflection: I like the book, I bettered my reading skills.
