 The visual version of Chris's journey makes his choices seem more justified than in the text. In the film, Chris seems to be making his journey to find himself and take a break from society. However, in the text, Chris's actions seem careless and questionable.

Reflection: I learned to better compare and contrast a film to a text.

 I would say that my mind is like a lens. My mind allows me to focus in on the things that are most important to me, without worrying about other things. I focus more on following the Lord than anything else. In this way my mind is just like a lens, I don't focus on things that are only going to hurt me. Summary: Today in class, we completed three common lits. It took a bit but wasn't too difficult. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze theme. Along with that, I also learned how to better apply my own life connections towards other stories and texts.

I have enjoyed this class a lot. I really like Mr. Reese’s teaching style and I have I have learned a lot from that. My favorite assignment that we did is when we made our own poem and presented it to the class. Making my own poem challenged myself and I was able to truly express myself through the poem. One area where I feel I need support is in my vocab. Summary: I stayed home. Reflection: I learned how to better reflect through the blog post.
