Prompt: Choose a vocabulary word from Lesson 10 that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

A vocab word that connects with me most is perambulate. I love strolling around and walking, which is the definition of the word. Often times when I am strolling around I am doing something I love. Whether its fishing or hanging out with friends, whenever I perambulate I am happy. 

Summary: Today we worked on vocab.
Reflection: I bettered my vocab understanding.

Prompt: Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

 I would say that my mind is like a lens. My mind allows me to focus in on the things that are most important to me, without worrying about other things. I focus more on following the Lord than anything else. In this way my mind is just like a lens, I don't focus on things that are only going to hurt me. Summary: Today in class, we completed three common lits. It took a bit but wasn't too difficult. Reflection: I learned how to better analyze theme. Along with that, I also learned how to better apply my own life connections towards other stories and texts.

I have enjoyed this class a lot. I really like Mr. Reese’s teaching style and I have I have learned a lot from that. My favorite assignment that we did is when we made our own poem and presented it to the class. Making my own poem challenged myself and I was able to truly express myself through the poem. One area where I feel I need support is in my vocab. Summary: I stayed home. Reflection: I learned how to better reflect through the blog post.
